Trompette 8 by Filippo Sorcinelli is a perfume extract for men and women with Spicy and Woody notes.

This extract belongs to the Music Extract collection, where the packaging represents a replica of the wind treacles of Notre Dame Cathedral.

The "extrait de musique" collection seeks to represent the various sounds of the registers of the Grand Organ of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris through incenses. The sixth new fragrance presented synesthetically evokes the trumpet register, which belongs to the reed family and is one of the oldest registers of the organ. The first documented mention of this register is found in the description of a large organ from the 1st century BC, located in a gladiator amphitheater.

Reed registers produce sound by vibrating a reed between two plates. Characterized by a particularly metallic and "shrill" sound, like real trumpets, they enrich and complete the instrument. The cap, like previous music extracts, faithfully reproduces the drawstop of the Grand Organ of Paris.

"Trompette 8" is contained, like its predecessors, in a completely handmade wooden box, reminiscent of the wooden case of the large sound boxes of pipe organs.
