History

September 1877, Port of Marseille, France.

In a room in Meat City, a cashmere shawl is draped decadently over the bed. Once highly coveted, the shawls are now out of fashion among the bourgeois, their distinctive patchouli scent a victim of their decadence. Adopted by bohemians and courtesans, the fragrance blends with French lavender, musky ambers and exotic balms. With a new twist, and in the hands of stylish misfits, the 'unwanted' is once again desired.
